Four common misunderstandings after vehicle modification
Vehicle modification misunderstanding 1: More oil is indispensable
The oil in the crankcase cannot be added more or less. Excessive oil will increase the rotational resistance of the crank-connecting rod mechanism and increase the amount of oil splashing on the cylinder wall. Too much oil will increase carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, reduce engine power, and affect emissions. When checking or refueling, the owner should refuel according to the scale on the oil gauge. The highest oil level cannot exceed the upper limit of the scale, and the lowest oil level cannot be lower than the lower line of the scale. It is usually appropriate to add the oil level to the middle of the two scales.
Vehicle modification misunderstanding 2: Fetal high pressure should not be low
Some car owners like to inflate the tires with high air pressure. They think it can overload and save fuel. This is incorrect. High tire pressure will reduce the ground of the tire, aggravate tread wear, reduce the braking effect during braking, and affect driving safety. It is not good to have too low tire pressure. Too low tire pressure will not only affect driving safety and braking effect, but also accelerate shoulder wear and increase vehicle fuel consumption. When the owner uses an air pump to inflate by himself, it should be inflated according to the air pressure specified by the manufacturer. The tire pressure label is usually located on the body or fuel tank cap.
Vehicle modification misunderstanding 3: wheel screws should be tight rather than loose
According to the diameter, pitch and use of the bolts in different parts of the car, the corresponding tightening torque is specified. Bolts that do not reach the specified torque are loose, and bolts that exceed the tightening torque are lengthened. Before tightening each component, you must master the tightening torque of each bolt, such as wheel bolts. The tightening torque of tire bolts for family cars is generally between 100-130N.m.
Vehicle modification misunderstanding 4: seat belts should be tight rather than loose
Some owners believe that increasing the tightness of the belt can improve the cooling effect of the compressor and the power generation of the generator. Therefore, they made great efforts to increase the tightness of the belt, but they did not know that this practice was wrong. The connecting belt should be kept properly tightened, because tightening the belt will cause bearing overload, shorten the service life of the components, cause the belt to break, and ultimately affect the normal use of the vehicle.
