Abnormal Tire Wear and Its Solutions
1. Early wear in the middle of the tire:
The main reason is excessive ventilation. Properly increasing the tire inflation volume can reduce the tire rolling resistance and save fuel. However, when the inflation volume is too large, it not only affects the shock absorption performance of the tire, but also causes the tire to deform too much, and the contact area with the ground is reduced. Normal wear can only be borne by the middle of the tread, forming early wear. If a wide tire is used on a narrow rim, early center wear may also occur.
2. Excessive wear on both sides of the tire:
The main reason is insufficient gasoline or long-term overloaded driving. When the charging sequence load is large, the contact area between the tire and the ground is larger, causing both sides of the tire to contact the ground, forming early wear.
3. Excessive wear on one side of the tire:
The main reason is the misalignment of the front wheel. When the camber angle of the front wheel is too large, the outer side of the tire forms early wear, and when the camber angle is not smooth, the inner edge of the tire forms early wear. . .
4. Sawtooth wear on the tire tread:
The main reason is improper adjustment of the front wheel alignment or abnormal position of the front suspension system, loose ball head, which causes the normal rolling wheel to slide or the driving wheel alignment to change continuously, resulting in serrated wear of the tire.
5. Large wear of individual tires:
Early wear of individual tires may be caused by abnormal suspension system of individual wheels, bending of support parts or imbalance of individual wheels. In this case, the positioning of the worn wheel, the working condition of the independent suspension spring and shock absorber should be checked, and the wheel replacement cycle should be shortened.
6. Bald wear on tires:
The reason for the wear of individual parts of the tire is poor tire balance. When the unbalanced wheel rotates at high speed, the force on the individual parts is large, the wear is accelerated, the steering is unstable, and the handling performance deteriorates. If there is a slight vibration in a specific speed direction, the wheel should be kept balanced to prevent wear.
